OI HEART™ (Human Empowerment And Resiliency Training®) Coach Program
In Organic Intelligence®(OI), coaches learn how to empower clients and affect change at the physiological level. Following the OI Coach Certification Program, the second level of training in the OI Trajectory is the OI HEART™ (Human Empowerment And Resiliency Training®) Coach program.
In the OI HEART (OIHC) Coach program, OI coaches train to see how human problems—and solutions—emerge at the intersection of the person’s biological system interacting with other systems, like families, communities, cultures, and societies.
OI HEART™ Coach graduates:
Have supervised practice in working in the interplay, the mutually informing interaction between a client's biology and their context: social, natural and spiritual.
Learn to recognize our “fractal” nature, and learn how fixated patterns of behavior, states, and mood replay over and over again at all levels, and keep clients stuck — and how clients can free themselves from these fixated patterns, embedded in their neurobiology.
Come to understand that Fight/Flight and Freeze are just the beginning, as the OI HEART Coach program orients also to the world beyond the nervous system to the brain’s main function in Orientation: mapping us in the environment. With this mapping in the physical and social environment, the brain’s natural micro-predications help clients be ready for what’s ahead.
Students in OIHC complete a collection of three (3) unique OI courses that further meld personal and professional development with carefully sequenced practice and clinical conceptualizations that amplify the OI Coach's effectiveness. These three courses, to be completed in sequence, include:
Biology to Cosmos
Phase 2
Multiple Trauma Vortex
Notably, in this program, OI introduces for the first time, a meaningful engagement with the notion of trauma (e.g., Multiple Trauma Vortex). While still elaborating the fundamental frameworks of positive reinforcement and seeing how the biology builds a nest of support, OI HEART Coach participants gain experience working with increasingly intense topics that clients bring in. Thus, these courses invoke the term “trauma”, but the course content elaborates the specific, unique OI understanding of trauma.
Completion of the first three courses of the OI HEART Coach program constitute the fundamentals that are prerequisite for further certifications, like the Introduction to OI™ Presenter and EOTC Group Facilitator Certifications. The successful completion of the OIHC program leads to further competence at the OI HEART Coach-Advanced and then OI Specialist (OIS) level, where courses and specializations, including in trauma, mindfulness, and group work will be available.
